Our Strategy
HKN Syria's development strategy for the northeast Syria concession reflects the significant production potential of the fields and the operational realities of stepping into a long-standing legacy operation. HKN is focused on the following near-term priorities, while maintaining a diligent focus on health, safety, and the environment in all operating activities.
Stabilizing production and operations
Rehabilitating wellbores, artificial lift, and separation facilities, and re-establishing export logistics.
Acquiring subsurface data
Through well and pressure testing, water-cut assessment, and new observation wells and core sampling.
Developing a long-term reservoir strategy
Including enhanced oil recovery, targeted new drilling, and pressure-maintenance and water-disposal programs.
